Negotiating A Good Car Deal

1934 Brewster Town CarNegotiating a good car deal will save you money upfront and make you more money later. Negotiating is the key to getting what you want in life.

Negotiating, wheeling and dealing…whatever you want to call it, IS the key to being able to buy that used car at a price that might be much lower than the asking price, thus leaving plenty of room for you to make a decent profit.

It could also mean having the seller of the car deliver the car to wherever you want when the deal is done…or having the seller get something fixed at their expense, and a million other things that can make the deal go easier for you.

You might not even realize yet how good a negotiator you already are…

For example; if you’re married, a day probably doesn’t go by that you aren’t negotiating for some thing.

But BEGGING your wife…or anyone…is NOT negotiating!

If you have to beg, then you have zero power. Learning how to negotiate in a subtle manner so that the car seller (or car buyer) doesn’t feel like you are clubbing them to death is one of the keys to getting what you want.

Thanks for the tips in your book on how to negotiate incrementally Steve. It has worked really well for me and has made negotiating a lower price a lot easier.

      Hey Chip,

I’m glad that worked for you! Since you’ve emailed me before, I’m curious about something….

You wouldn’t be THE Chip from San Diego that I used to see way way down in Baja windsurfing years ago that I used to call “Cheap Buck” would you?
