Test Driving A Used Car

Volvo XC60 Test Drive at Denver's Rickenbaugh VolvoOkay, you inspected the car thoroughly, and with confidence, because you’ve learned to know the difference between “expensive noises” and “inexpensive noises.”

Now its time to take that car for a really good test drive to make sure the thing is worth buying.

I won’t go into everything here, but there are 3 things you should know that are really important when test driving any used car…

1) Allow yourself plenty of time so you are not being rushed during the test drive.

2) Its okay to see if the stereo works, but then shut if off so you can listen for noises.

3) If the seller is with you then make sure they keep quiet.

The idea is to listen carefully for noises and then to be able to discern between expensive noises and inexpensive noises.
