Air Car Runs On…Compressed Air!
Air Cars don’t have anything to do with buying and selling cars for profit (yet!), but I’m fascinated with the prospect of having a car that runs on air and wanted to share this with you.
First of all, I don’t know about you, but I just don’t find myself getting really excited about all these $25,000 plus hybrid cars that don’t really get that great mpg…yet.
Yes, they are a step in the right direction.
Maybe in a year or two when they start installing them with lithium ion batteries and then we will be looking at 100 miles per gallon, but until then.
So how does this sound for a car…
- Emissions: Zero.
- Fuel: Compressed air.
- Top speed: 68 mph.
- Range: 125 miles.
- Where to fill-up: Plug in at home or gas station.
- Cost to fill tank: $2.00.
- Price of vehicle: $13,000.
- Availability: Very soon.
Pretty cool, isn’t it?
This air car is called the CityCat and was developed by a French guy that worked on this concept for fifteen years. This air car is being licensed all over the world and the first place to get them is India. I’m getting conflicting reports on its availability as some are saying now, and others say summer 09.
I’m skeptical that we will get the air car here in the U.S. anytime soon since the government will probably want it to be loaded down with a 1000 pounds of junk designed to protect us from ourselves. Of course then it will require a larger motor and cost thousands more.
However (but it still seems too good to be true), according to an article in Popular Mechanics, we are supposed to get an air car in the U.S. in 2009 or 2010. It will have a top speed of 98 mph with a range of 1000 miles. Projected cost of $18,000.
A while ago I sent an email to my peeps mentioning a simple and cheap process for converting any car to run on water. Some people claim they have raised their cars mpg from 10% to over 100%.
This is something I’ve really wanted to do with one of my cars, but still haven’t taken the time. If anyone has made that water for gas modification to their car, I hope you’ll tell us about it by leaving your comments below.
Later…
Steve
P.S. I want you to know that the water for gas link above is an affiliate link. That means that IF you buy that guys information, then I will make a few bucks.

The water4gas system looks like a meth lab for your car. Who is going to put all those quart jars under their hood to rattle around Steve? I was surprised to see you supporting them, though you haven’t even tried them on one of your cars. It seems out of your character for what I have picked up from you so far.

Hey Marcus,
Well, you better secure those jars! Hah hah, a “meth lab for your car.” Good one! It does look kinda funky but I heard that guy (Ozzie) on the radio being interviewed one night about three weeks ago with some other guy that seemed like an expert with this stuff, and all I can say is that they BOTH seemed totally for real. It wasn’t an infomercial type show either.
In spite of the fact that Google has stopped running all ppc (pay per click) “water for gas” ads (because I’m sure there are lots of scammers out there now), I know that his order processors (clickbank and paypal) would have cut him off a long time ago if offer was a scam.
I’ve been fascinated with energy independence ever since I was a teenager when my dad used to hand me his copies of Mother Earth News after he was done reading them. The prospect of using nature to power our energy needs is a pretty cool thing, don’t ya think?
When I get the time, I’m going to do that conversion myself and will report back.
Thanks for your comment Marcus!
Steve

electrical car…
Made by a company called GoinGreen, the G- Wiz is billed as “the car that doesn’t cost the earth.” It can reach up to 40 mph and runs for 40 miles on a single charge. Its batteries can achieve an 80 percent recharge in 2. 5 hours — just right …
