Hitler Car To Bring $12 Million At Used Car Auction
Christies auction in Paris expects to bring $12 million for a race car built in 1939. This is expected to be the most expensive car ever sold at the auction. In 1933 Adolf Hitler wanted to show off the technological prowess of Germany by having the ‘Auto Union D-Types’ created.
This car sold for about $150,000.00 USD then which is equivalent to around $2.3 million in todays dollars.
The car is similar to Formula 1 and Indy cars and came with 4 wheel independent suspension with a twin super charged 485 hp with a top speed of 185 mph! An amazing thing considering it was built in 1939!
