   Regarding your question/comment…

   Like any artificial stimulation where governments monetize their currency; I think Cash For Clunkers will have a flash-in-the-pan boomlet kind of effect that could perpetuate this recession…and ultimately result in a pant load of inflation a little down the road.

   So what effect will Cash For Clunkers have on the used car business? Not much considering the program ends today.

   they stopped this program. I don’t see any real benefit, who has a 25 year old vehicle?? I am confused.

   Lots of people have 25 year old vehicles although most of them wouldn’t be turned in for Cash For Clunkers since they would now be considered “classics.”
