I fell into the business of buying and selling cars for profit back in the 90's. The events leading up to me discovering this cool business included a serious case of work burn-out in the custom cabinet and finish carpentry business and the passing away of my mother. A lot of stuff came together that year and I found myself really needing to get away and make some serious changes in my life.

After six months of careful preparation, I moved myself, my wife and two little kids across the Pacific...to surf, windsurf and decompress for a while. True story.

Life sure throws stuff in our faces, and the job I thought I could rely on to feed my family fell through after the first week...YIKES!

Sure I was stressed out because we just moved to an area with no family, no contacts and zero job prospects during a serious recession.

I won't go into all the details of how I discovered the cool business of buying and selling cars for profit here, but like anyone that starts something new (with no instructions), I made a few dumb mistakes since I didn't have The Lazy Way to Buy and Sell Cars for Profit to guide me like you have now.

But after a few consecutive profitable used car deals that I lucked out on, and the promise of larger future profits (plus 4 mouths to feed!) that made me press on and continue to learn and refine my approach...instead of bailing out.

So what became of my much needed sabbatical in da islands? Well, thanks to the free time I had from buying and selling cars, I was able to fully experience and live in one of the most beautiful (and expensive!) places on earth...and windsurf my ass off in true world class conditions with eight degree-plus water and big waves.

And that adventure became the genesis for writing The Lazy Way To Buy and Sell Cars for Profit.
